Time Together Refugee Mentoring Scheme

The Evelyn Oldfield Unit is working in partnership with TimeBank to deliver the Time Together refugee mentoring programme.The objective of the refugee mentoring scheme is to facilitate the integration of refugees into British society and to promote cultural exchange. The Time Together scheme will match refugees in one-on-one relationships with a UK citizen who will act as their mentor.

Through a mentoring relationship refugees can build new networks, friendships and self-confidence, practice their English and recieve guidance and advice from someone of the same professional background. Time Together will empower refugees to contribute their skills, knowledge and culture to British society thus paving the way to a more accepting, multi-cultural and diverse society.
